If you are looking for sexual assault service referrals: text your location (zip code or installation/base name) to 55-247 (inside the U.S.) or 001- 202-470-5546 (outside the U.S.) to contact your nearest resource: Sexual Assault Response Coordinator (SARC), medical or legal personnel, chaplain, or civilian sexual assault service provider.
What to expect if you text "location"
Once you text your location, you may be asked a few simple questions, like your Service affiliation, to help us identify which option is best for you. After we determine your nearest resource, we will text you their location and phone number. Response times may vary.
What to expect if you text "referral"
If you are a Transitioning Service Member (TSM) and looking for referrals to assist you with your transition: text "referral" to 55-247 (inside the U.S.) or 001-202-470-5546 (outside the U.S.) to access a variety of resources to help with your transition process.
Once you text "referral", you will be asked a few simple questions to help us identify which options are best for you. For instance, if you text 'housing' we can provide DoD, VA and civilian transition resources related to housing assistance. You can ask for referrals on a variety of other topics such as: benefits, medical and mental healthcare, veterans support, assistance with disabilities, education, and employment.

International access: For text messages sent outside the U.S., users must have cell phones that have international texting capabilities.
